We caught some trout today all on artificial. David West with Cabelas and cameraman Phil Shuyler came aboard today to film a trip that will be presented by Cabelas. We used new penny shrimp GULP lures and landed 70-80 trout and 3 reds too small. We kept 16 of the smaller trout and had a great time. Wind was still brisk out of the north and we had cloud cover, but the trout hit most of the day. We fished primarily an incoming tide and caught most of the fish on the ICW channel dropoff. Using 1/4 oz screwon jigheads.

Fished with great friends Steve Gawlik, Bill Cullen and Michael Littlejohn. Despite strong 40mph south winds, the redfish were kick'en. A long boat ride south yielded some great redfish action on live bait. All fish in the slot from 21" to 26".

At one time, all 3 had keeper redfish on. We called it the "Red-Fish Dance!"

Michael hooked into a nice 21" trout under an Alameda popping cork.

Getting home before the big northern hits.

Check out this big gal. Bobby James from College Station caught it and was 10lb 2 oz. The fish was taken to John Glenns Taxidermy at 4:00 pm and on Johns certified scales still weighed 9 lb. 14.5 oz. The fish was almost 29 inches which tells you how big the girth was. John Glenn said it was one of the thickest fish he has ever seen and the biggest he has had brought in on weight for this year.

Judy Stockton , braved a brutal norther to capture her best trout ever. A fat 28 1/2 inch trophy. Fishing with her husband Ken and friends Leonard and Carol Ferguson.
